There’s no other running event that weaves a winding path through two major cities, circles around three urban lakes and travels across the Mississippi as fall leaves start to change. The enthusiasm of generations coming out to cheer on their neighbors, toast mimosas and ring noisemakers mirrors how life-changing it feels to cross the finish line.
