Hardwood Ski and Bike (map)

Escape the daily grind and experience a wild adventure with friends

Ragnar Trail Cottage Country-ON, presented by Salomon is back for its second year! Grab your most adventurous friends (or anyone ready for an unforgettable, nature-fueled weekend) and join us on Aug. 24-25 at Hardwood Ski and Bike!

On Friday, teams of 8 runners (or 4 runners for ultra teams) come together to do what they could never do alone; conquer a series of three trails (known as “loops”), relay-style, over two days and one night. Each runner hits the trail one at a time, while the rest of your team hangs out at Ragnar Village. Your team won’t stop running once the sun sets, in fact, you’ll run into the night, under a billion stars with a headlamp guiding your way, and then into the morning again as the sun rises.

Once every runner on your team completes each loop you’ll celebrate together, share a meal and a laugh, and be rewarded with the coolest (and most functional) finisher’s medal ever! Ragnar Trail is one part wilderness exploration, two parts character-building, three parts adult summer camp and a whole lot of fun!

The race starts Friday, but teams are welcome to join us for a bonus night of camping on Thursday complete with a big communal campfire, wild stories and s’mores. Mark your running calendar for Aug. 24-25, and get ready to experience an unforgettable, running, camping adventure with friends.

Run the trail running race that combines camping, star-gazing, and discovering your inner wild
Hit the trails in the Evergreen State on August 24-25 at Ragnar Trail Rainier-WA, presented by Salomon! You and your team of 8 runners (or ultra-team of 4) will conquer some seriously gorgeous terrain at Crystal Mountain, just two hours outside of Seattle.

Teams will tackle a series of three trail loops (red, yellow, and green) that start and end at Ragnar Village—and one runners heads out to conquer the course at a time, relay-style. and one runners heads out to conquer the course at a time, relay-style. When you’re not running, you’ll be cheering runners as they come into Ragnar Village, partying around the big communal campfire (roasting s’mores and sharing stories), and enjoying the fun-filled atmosphere set up at camp. The race doesn’t stop when the sun goes down so be prepared to run through the night (yes, on the trail!) where your headlamp and a canopy of billions of stars will illuminate your path.

Once everyone on your team has completed all the loops, you can run into the finisher’s area together where you’ll receive what is quite possibly the coolest, most functional, finisher’s medal you will find in the woods. Mark your running calendar for Aug. 24-25. Or get the party started early and enjoy an extra evening of camping on Thurs. Aug. 23.

Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks

Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks

Saratoga Spa State Park (map)

Ignite Your Sense of Wonder with a Team of Friends
Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks, happening on Sept. 21-22, 2018, is an adventure through upstate New York’s picturesque Adirondack Mountain range during peak fall foliage season.

The 200-ish mile journey kicks off in Saratoga Springs where runners are immediately immersed by the beauty of upstate New York. From there, teams run two days and one star-filled night past Saratoga Lake, the Hudson River, appropriately named Million Dollar Beach (Lake George), up the southern side of Lake Champlain and ultimately to the home of two Winter Olympic Games - in Lake Placid, NY.

This overnight running relay race doesn’t stop when the sun goes down (or when the tough gets going!). On Friday, as the sun sinks below the horizon, stars will inspire a sense of wonder. This is when the real fun begins! You’ll have to dig deep and push yourself—and your teammates—to keep running through the night as headlamps illuminate your way and into the sunrise on Saturday morning.

No one starts Reebok Ragnar Adirondacks alone, and no one finishes alone either. After each team member completes their 3 legs (6 legs for ultra), they’ll cross under the orange arch together—tired but triumphant, drained but strengthened— for together they have done what they could never do alone. Mark your running calendar for Sept. 21-22 and get ready to experience The Empire State like never before.

Ragnar Trail Northwoods - WI

Nine Mile Forest (map)

Come for the Experience, Stay for the Company
Ragnar Trail Northwoods presented by Salomon is the best running party under the stars. Runners will come together on Sept. 21-22, 2018, at Nine Mile Forest - nestled ten miles outside of Wisconsin’s outdoor mecca, Wausau and within sight of Granite Peak Ski Area. Nine Mile Forest is known for cross-country ski trails but you may not realize that when the snow melts, miles of epic single-track running trails await you.

On Friday morning, the start gun goes off, and teams of 8 (or 4) set out to conquer a series of three smooth single track trails, that meander under a canopy of oak, pine and birch trees. Each loop starts and finishes at Ragnar Village. And when the sun goes down, runners make their way through the night with headlamps, under about a billion stars, until every person on their team has completed all three loops on Saturday.

Back home at Ragnar Village you can rest your legs next to the campfire, chow down on s’mores, and relax with your team. This year, runners (friends, co-workers, kids) are welcome to join us a night earlier, starting on Thursday for a bonus day of camping, campfires, kumbaya-ing and fun!

Any level of runner can come conquer the trails as you find yourself in this journey of adventure, self-discovery, and sheer nature-loving goodness. Mark your running calendar for Sept. 21-22 and join us for an adventure you'll want to make a tradition every year!

Reebok Ragnar Michigan

Reebok Ragnar Michigan

Pere Marquette Park (map)

A Running Road Trip Through the Most Picturesque Parts of Michigan
Reebok Ragnar Relay Michigan, happening on Sept. 28-29, 2018, is a magical combination of fall colors, sugar sand beaches, massive dunes and wild Ragnarians.

This 200-ish mile overnight adventure kicks off in the charming town Muskegon. From there, teams run two days and one star-filled night, past historic ships and lighthouses, apple orchards, cherry blossoms and rolling hills painted in vibrant autumn hues.

No one starts Reebok Ragnar Michigan alone, and no one finishes alone either. After each team member completes their 3 legs (6 legs for ultra), they’ll cross under the orange arch together in Traverse City – home to some of Michigan’s finest wineries and the sapphire blue Grand Traverse Bay. Tred but triumphant, drained but strengthened a team of 12 individuals becomes 1 team and finds out what they can do when they come together.

Mark your running calendar for Sept. 28-29, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure/ road trip with friends/ race that will inspire your soul.

Reebok Ragnar Washington DC, happening on Sept. 28-29, 2018, is a running adventure through Maryland’s picturesque countryside that’ll have you and your hand-picked team of 12 (or 6) runners coming back year after year!

Your 200-ish mile adventure kicks off in the town of Cumberland, MD. From there, teams run east for two days and one star-filled night, past thick forest trails, scenic pathways, charming historic Civil War-era towns and eventually the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial!

This overnight running relay race doesn’t stop when the sun goes down (or when the tough gets going!). On Friday, as the sun sinks below the horizon, the moon overhead will inspire a sense of wonder. This is when the real fun begins! You’ll have to dig deep and push yourself—and your teammates—to keep running through the night as headlamps illuminate your way and into the sunrise on Saturday morning.

No one starts Reebok Ragnar Washington D.C. alone, and no one finishes alone either. After each team member completes their 3 legs (6 legs for ultra), they’ll finish together at Yards Park in downtown Washington D.C.—tired but triumphant, drained but strengthened— for together they have done what they could never do alone. Mark your running calendar for Sept. 28-29, 2018 and get ready to experience a different side of the areas surrounding the Nation’s Capital.

Saving Hearts Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention

Saving Hearts Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention

Cuyuna Range Elementary School (map)

Saving Hearts was founded in 2014 after our family suffered the loss of Shane Heyn to suicide. Everyone seems to have their own suicide story and ours started in December of 2012. Shane was one of the strongest men in our family and it hurts us deeply to know he was hurting so bad and felt suicide was the only way to solve the pain. Shane was an amazing, loving, kind man and we had no idea he was suffering.

Saving Hearts was formed to Save the Hearts of people who believe their lives aren't worth living and think suicide is the answer. We also want to Save the Hearts of people like us who are left behind not understanding what happened.

We decided we needed to take action and do our best to help those hurting and help them to realize that their life is precious to so many.

We need to help others see what it means to be loved and wanted. We also want to help to break the silence about mental illness. Banding together with others that have suffered losses and working together for prevention has been such a help in the process of understanding and healing from these tragic events. It should not be something that is swept under the rug and hidden from others. Help is out there and we should never give up HOPE.

It is also our goal to raise money along with awareness for suicide prevention. If we can touch one life, save one heart, save one person from committing this heart breaking act, Shane's death and all those we gather to remember were not in vain.

Ragnar Trail McDowell Mountain

McDowell Mtn. Regional Park (map)

A Magical Desert Oasis Awaits You and Your Friends
It’s time to take your love of the desert, running and mother nature to the next level. And we mean next level.

Ragnar Trail McDowell Mountain presented by Salomon, happening on Nov. 2-3, 2018, pits you and your running besties against single-track so sublime and views epic you’ll be hooked on that near-gripped euphoria for weeks.

Teams of 8 (or 4 for ultra) spend 2 days, plus one star-filled night, out in the desert at McDowell Mountain Regional Park (just northeast of Scottsdale), where you’ll test your limits on some seriously fun trails with majestic mountain views and epic desert flora and fauna.

Ragnar Trail is an overnight trail running adventure that you can only do with a team. And when the sun goes down, runners make their way through the night with headlamps, under a magical moon a star-lit sky, until every person on their team has completed all three loops on Saturday.

Mark your running calendar for Nov. 2-3, and get ready for one of the most transformative sunrises in the series, this course will not disappoint!
