The SISU Ski Fest (SSF) was chartered in 2010 as a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting silent sports with emphasis on cross-country ski racing and generating economic activity in the Ironwood area. The SISU Ski Fest manifests these goals.The SISU Ski Fest is comprised of 4 ski events, the 31K SISU Ski Race, 15K Heikki Lunta Ski Race, Hauska Heikki 5K Ski and the kid's Depot Dash

Three Rivers Park District’s Ski Rennet features two days of racing on world-class trails with challenging climbs and scenic views of Hyland Lake Park Reserve. An all-day party with free activities for all ages includes music, fat bike and cross-country ski demos, a sponsor village with food, and more. 5K of guaranteed, man-made snow ensures this race is held in almost any condition.

Course options include: 26K Freestyle, 26K Classic, 10K Freestyle, Boulder Nordic Sport 10K Classic, 2K Para Nordic Cup, Pioneer Midwest High School 6K, Youth Races, 10K Skijor, 4K Skijor, and 2K Skijor.

Efforts have been made to bring all aspects of skiing into this event through partnerships with the Twin Cities Orthopedics, Minnesota Youth Ski League, Skijor USA, and many sponsors that bring a competitive, fun race at an affordable price.

The Securian Winter Run features three races: the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, each starting at Securian Center on the corner of Sixth and Jackson Streets. The starting gun for the Half Marathon will go off at 9 a.m., while the 5K and 10K races will begin just minutes later

Since 1979 Fools Five Road Race, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has brought people from around the world to Lewiston, Minnesota, to raise funds for cancer research.  Noted past runners/guest speakers have been Dick Beardsley, Garry Bjorklund, Carrie Tollefson, Alberto Salazar, Tony Schiller, Sarah Thorsett (Renk), Frank Shorter, Priscilla Welch, Kenechi Udeze, and Gabriele Anderson.  Pledges are donated to Gundersen Medical Foundation in LaCrosse, WI,  and the Rochester Eagles Cancer Telethon in Rochester, MN, which donates to the Mayo Clinic, The Hormel Institute for Cancer Research, and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.

The Sakatah Challenge – 5.6K Run/Walk, 10.5K Run and 11.6 mile ride are in the Sakatah State Park. This park is truly, one of Minnesota’s most beautiful parks. Join us for a fun day whether you are doing the 5.6K, 10.5K, or 11.6 mile.

The original 5.6k Challenge: The race that started it all! The first 1⁄4 mile takes you along the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail before you dive off-road. The next mile and a half is a challenging yet beautiful off road trail through Sakatah’s old growth forest. You then loop back onto the Singing Hills trail finishing your run with views of Sakatah Lake off to your right. This is a timed event.

The alternative 5k: When off road running is not for you, this is an easier more leisurely option. The alternative 5k is an out and back on the paved Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail through the beautiful Sakatah old growth forest. This event IS NOT timed.

The 10.5k follows the road around Lake Sakatah. Just before the 4th mile the 10.5k goes off road for a 1⁄4 mile before connecting you with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail and dive deep into the heart of the park finishing the last leg of your run surrounded by the beautiful green forest. This is a timed event.

The 11.6 mile bike ride follows the road around Lake Sakatah then continues east up a long steady hill for the first 7 miles. Before looping back and connecting with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail. Helmets are required to ride in this event. This is not a race, official times will be given.

Alexandria Figure Skating Club and the Alexandria Kiwanis are excited to bring to you the Awake the Grapes 5K and 10K vineyard run at Carlos Creek Winery!

Proceeds from this run will go to the Alexandria Figure Skating Club to help support the aspirations of the figure skaters and to benefit children in the Alexandria Lakes Area.  Each racer participating in the 5K and 10K will receive an Awake the Grapes long sleeved t-shirt if registered online by the cutoff date.  Onsite registration will be open, shirts will not be available at onsite registration.

On June 1, join us for Walker Methodist’s 14wwwwwth annual 5k/10k Run & Walk around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis.  The race starts at 9:00 am and the course is certified, electronically timed, and all participants receive a high-quality unisex performance T-shirt.  There are prizes awarded to the top female and male finishers in each respective age category.  Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome, with all funds raised going toward enhancing the lives of our more than 3,000 residents through health and wellness programs and activities.

Swimming to Madeline Island has been a storied feat around the Bayfield area for decades. Starting as a community swim for 24 people in 2006, the Point to La Pointe has grown into a thriving race that sells out annually at 500 swimmers. The course is a straight 2.1 mile swim on Lake Superior from Bayfield to Madeline Island. The course follows the same route of the winter ice road, starting at the beach at the end of Washington Ave in Bayfield. It is approximately parallel to the route of the Madeline Island Ferry, finishing about 3/4 mile north of the ferry dock.  Swimmers have encountered all of Lake Superior's moods over the years, from calm, flat water to strong crosswinds with 2 foot waves. This event is registered with and approved by the US Coast Guard.
