Stride, Ride, Glide, Tri

Stride, Ride, Glide, Tri

Superior Municipal Forest (map)

Get the most out of these amazing Superior Municipal Forest trails as you run, bike, and ski them during resurrection of the Stride, Ride, Glide Tri! Similar to the Pole, Pedal, Pant of years past, the Stride, Ride Glide will be a 5kish run on a flat snow covered dirt road, a 10kish bike on a very scenic snow covered dirt road with a few hills thrown in, and a 10kish ski on a mix of wide, flat as a pancake trail and hilly as heck trail!

Route will be out of the "yellow" trail, the run will go left out of the lot, down to the gate and back and it is flat. The bike portion will go straight out of the lot, down the road past the yellow trail start, along the bay to the gate and back. Fat bikes are really not necessary! In the old days when we had this and the Pole, Pedal, Pant Fat bikes were not an option! We all used our mountain bikes with lower tire pressure, some of the more talented used skinny tires too! I personally think a fat bike will be slower! The ski will be out the purple trail, which will join to the yellow and back  ( if done in time, otherwise yellow out and back). Ski will be groomed for skate, no tracks.

No snowshoes or spikes allowed during the run.  Classic or skate technique may be used in the ski, course will be groomed for skate only.  Any type of bike may be used as long as it is a single person bike without a motor!

No Headphones, dogs or strollers sorry!  3 Hour time limit unless weather creates adverse conditions!  Sorry but there will be no headphones, dogs or spectators allowed on the course during the event at any time. Once participants have finished their race we also ask that they either use the road heading away from the event or the purple trail to cool down.

All proceeds will go towards new, more efficient grooming equipment for the trails.

You can do this event as an individual or a  team!

THE BEST OF TEXAS, AND A LEGENDARY FINISH LINE

Blue bonnets, long horns, backcountry roads and friendly communities. Enter a Texas state of mind at Reebok Ragnar Luckenbach on March 9-10. This year, runners will experience cooler running temperatures as they run relay-style, 200-ish miles from the new start line in San Marcos to legendary Luckenbach.

This course features the best of the lone star state: rolling hills, pockets of wild flowers, winding rural back roads that pass ranches and farm country, views of the Guadalupe River and the Texas Hill Country.

On Friday, runners chase the sun until it becomes the moon into the night. Headlamps, lit-up vans and stars overhead light the way during this unforgettable overnight running relay race.

On Saturday, the legendary music venue and dance hall, Luckenbach awaits runners. Not only is it the namesake for Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson’s hit song, but also an ideal spot to celebrate your 200-ish mile adventure. This race wouldn’t be complete without the sweet smell of bbq, food trucks, beer, bragging rights and sore muscles.

Mark your running calendar for March 9-10, and make all of your other weekends jealous at Reebok Ragnar Luckenbach.

Reebok Ragnar Tennessee

Coolidge Park (map)

Discover the Spirit of Tennessee, One Mile at a Time
Reebok Ragnar Tennessee is back! (And it’s better than ever!) On March 23-24, teams of 12 (or 6) members come together to conquer the countryside for a truly magical, cohesive experience from Chattanooga to Nashville, TN. Running in the serene setting of Tennessee’s countryside and celebrating at the epic finish line party with iconic culture, food, and music is an experience like nothing else.

The party gets started at our famous start line on the banks of the Tennessee River in Coolidge Park in Chattanooga. Runners head northwest into the countryside to run along pretty horse pastures and old historic estates as the sunrise warms their spirits.

If the adrenaline isn’t enough to keep you going for 200-ish miles, don’t worry. You and your team can run, dance and sing-along to live bands playing along the course as you chow down delicious BBQ offerings at strategic check-points.

Ragnar doesn’t end when the sun goes down! This overnight, running relay keeps going through the night (when things start to get truly magical), with lit up vans, illuminated runners and the moon overhead.

On Saturday, teams dance, boogie, or two-step their way across the finish line, past Printer’s Alley and into our finish line party at the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville. Beaming with accomplishment (and dazed from lack of sleep) teams celebrate, and party to the sounds of live local musicians. A solid chunk of Ragnar-goodness awaits everyone in the form of a special finisher’s medal to top it all off.

Mark your running calendar for March 23-24 and don’t miss out on a 200-ish mile celebration of Tennessee’s iconic culture, food and music.

Ragnover Double Medal

Dehydrated? Can't get enough sleep? Honking and cheering for random runners? Waking up in the middle of the night wondering where your runner is? A Ragnover is real and those who run Reebok Ragnar Tennessee, The Bourbon Chase, and Ragnar Trail Kentuckiana-KY in the same year will be overcome with symptoms of awesomeness, tiredness, and slap-happy laughter. Run any two Ragnover races to receive the Ragnover Double Medal. Run the third race to add some awesome flair. This medal is dedicated to those who know how to push the limits. Blackout the pain, discomfort, and soreness, and remember the inside jokes and feeling of conquering something bigger than yourself... Earn yourself a Ragnover!

Boom Island (map)

Join the movement that's taken over the racing world. Hot Chocolate 15k/5k is returning to Minneapolis on April 14, 2018! Start and finish in Boom Island Park amongst the biggest chocolate aficionados in Minneapolis. This year, train, race, and celebrate with us all the way to the finish line. We're with you through the season. All Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k participants will receive this awesome jewel-toned pullover! With its soft, technical fabric, this fitted, long-sleeved quarter-zip will be your go-to item for fall and winter runs! Bold colors mean you stand out in dreary weather, and thumb holes help keep your fingers toasty! Plus, a handy zippered chest pocket helps you keep your essentials safe! All 15K finishers will receive an official Hot Chocolate Minneapolis medal to commemorate their awesome achievement. Heads up: while this medal may give you chocolate cravings, it’s actually made from metal alloy. We recommend displaying this sturdy, high-quality medal on a wall for maximum bragging rights. Each medal features a chocolate bar lookalike wrapped in gold, hung by a shimmering Finisher ribbon. This year's medal features a brand-new design, complete with a city-specific key chain! Now you can carry your achievement with you beyond race day! You’ll be handed your medal after crossing the finish line.

This enables members to compete in Regional, State, and National competitions. These learning opportunities help the students to develop networking and leadership skills. One of the leadership roles students have stepped into is helping to organize and put on this event. Through this opportunity students have been learning how to develop and market for an event.

Sea Foam Stadium (map)

Join Prison Fellowship for a 5k run/walk on Sunday, April 22, to celebrate the month of April as Second Chance Month!  Come enjoy live music and an inspiring rally speaker and learn how to create meaningful second chances for those in need of a second chance.

About Second Chances

Every person has God-given dignity and potential. However, some 65 million Americans—or one in four adults—have a criminal record, which limits their access to education, jobs, housing, and other things necessary for a full and productive life. In addition to widespread social stigma, there are more than 48,000 documented legal restrictions that weigh down those with a criminal record. While many people find hope and a new identity behind prison walls, they lose it a few steps past the prison gate when faced with barriers that can seem insurmountable. We call this the "second prison."

Prison Fellowship seeks to unlock second chances so that people can reach their God-given potential. Together, we can expose and overcome the "second prison" of stigma and restrictions, challenge stereotypes of the formerly incarcerated, and restore hope for people who want to fully and freely contribute their gifts so their communities can flourish.

The Second Chance 5Ks are community run/walk events that bring people together inside and outside of prison to raise awareness of the "second prison" and catalyze real, significant change in public attitudes and policies.

The Darkest Night of Your Life 4K

The Darkest Night of Your Life 4K

Bunker Hills Golf Course (map)

hope.jpg

On any given night, there are more than 6,000 homeless youth in the State of Minnesota and many of them are right here in the north metro suburbs. When the darkness of night sets in, these young people are staying in shelters, couch-hopping or sleeping on the streets. HOPE 4 Youth, a nonprofit that provides pathways to end youth homelessness, is raising funds and awareness of the plight of homeless youth by bringing the community together for the third annual “The Darkest Night of Your Life 4K.”

Participants will experience many of the same things as homeless young people – darkness, loneliness, cold and quiet – while they walk/run the 4K “4” homeless youth, as well as raise funds for HOPE Place, HOPE 4 Youth’s transitional housing program located in Coon Rapids. HOPE Place is one of our long-term solutions to ending youth homelessness and we need your help to keep the doors open so that the young people who call HOPE Place home can walk out the doors as independent, self-sustaining and housed adults.

Reebok Ragnar Cape Cod

Reebok Ragnar Cape Cod

Nantasket Beach (map)

Wicked fun running adventure complete with historical landmarks and unforgettable shoreline views

Home of iconic white sand beaches, dunes and breathtaking coastal views, Reebok Ragnar Relay Cape Cod is the wicked fun running relay you do with a team of friends (12 or 6), happening on May 11-12.

The peaceful Cape Cod scenery lives up to its famous reputation on the Ragnar course. As a team, you’ll run relay style all day, all night and day again passing salt-weathered bridges, sand dunes, and pasty white picket-fenced houses from Hull to Provincetown. Along the way, you’ll also see Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower, old Colonial homes and views of the rugged East Coast shoreline.

Your 200-ish mile relay wraps up, after each team member completes 3 (or 6) legs, at the Pilgrim Monument in downtown Provincetown where teams celebrate an accomplishment they won’t soon forget. Locals welcome Ragnarians with after parties, lobster rolls and drink specials, making Ragnar Cape Cod a full-blown weekend adventure.

Don't miss the journey/party-on-wheels/challenge, happening on May 11-12, that will have you saying, "I can't believe we're doing this," and "When can we do this again?" in the same, tired breath!

Reebok Ragnar Chicago

Reebok Ragnar Chicago

Midwest at its best with a new course and earlier date

Reebok Ragnar Chicago is back, and with a new course that might just make you flip out! This time around, we're reversing the course and running 200-ish miles from outside of Chicago to Madison. And what's even cooler? The weather when we start three weeks earlier than years past, on May 18-19, 2018!

This overnight, running challenge makes running a team-sport, relay-style and doesn't quit when the going gets tough. In fact, you and your team of 12 (or 6) runners go all day, all night, and all day again (!!!) until each member of your team runs their 3 (or 6) legs.

In 2018, we're flipping the course to make the challenge fresh, new, more scenic and perfect for those who want an extended weekend of fun. Starting outside of Chicago, you'll kick-off the journey and head North, where you'll speed along the fastest course in the series and chase the epic sunset over Lake Michigan (no filters needed). In the cool, spring night air—and under a billion stars—you'll head into the countryside on the Glacial Drumlin Trail, watch the sun come up and re-charge for second day of running as you zoom past picturesque red barns, happy cows, and pretty, quintessential Midwest scenery. Your whole team finishes together, tired, triumphant, and a bit punch-drunk, at the Ragnar finisher's party in Olin Park on Lake Monona in Madison. Your team medals, bragging rights, and endless memories await!

Don't miss the journey/party-on-wheels/challenge, happening on May 18-19, that will have you saying, "I can't believe we're doing this," and "When can we do this again?" in the same, tired breath!

NEW for 2018: Sign up during VIP or early registration periods and Ragnar will waive your volunteer requirement! That means Ragnar will provide three volunteers on behalf of your team. No promo code needed.

30 For Freedom

30 For Freedom

Cedar Valley Church (map)

30 for Freedom is a movement that exists to end sex trafficking in our lifetime.

It all started when God gave me, Brent Silkey, a dream to run 30 miles on my 30th birthday, to invite 30 friends to do it with me, so we could raise $30k to rescue victims out of sex trafficking because every 30 seconds somebody becomes a victim of human trafficking.

The first year we had 48 runners do the full 30 miler and 75 run a shorter version at the 5k distance. $81,346 was raised!

Last year in 2017, Gov. Dayton proclaimed May 27. 2017 was “30 for Freedom Day” in Minnesota. We had eight chapters with over 600 participants who ran/walked a 5k, half marathon, or 30 mile run. We were in four countries and over $176K was raised!

In 2018, we are aiming to engage over 1,000 participants to raise $250,000 for sex trafficking prevention, rescue operations, and restoration efforts through our missions partners both domestically and abroad.

Sakatah Challenge

Sakatah Challenge

The Sakatah Challenge – 5.6K Run/Walk, 10.5K Run and 11.6 mile ride are in the Sakatah State Park. This park is truly, one of Minnesota’s most beautiful parks. Join us for a fun day whether you are doing the 5.6K, 10.5K, or 11.6 mile.

The original 5.6k Challenge: The race that started it all! The first 1⁄4 mile takes you along the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail before you dive off-road. The next mile and a half is a challenging yet beautiful off road trail through Sakatah’s old growth forest. You then loop back onto the Singing Hills trail finishing your run with views of Sakatah Lake off to your right. This is a timed event.

The alternative 5k: When off road running is not for you, this is an easier more leisurely option. The alternative 5k is an out and back on the paved Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail through the beautiful Sakatah old growth forest. This event IS NOT timed.

The 10.5k follows the road around Lake Sakatah. Just before the 4th mile the 10.5k goes off road for a 1⁄4 mile before connecting you with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail and dive deep into the heart of the park finishing the last leg of your run surrounded by the beautiful green forest. This is a timed event.

The 11.6 mile bike ride follows the road around Lake Sakatah then continues east up a long steady hill for the first 7 miles. Before looping back and connecting with the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail. Helmets are required to ride in this event. This is not a race, official times will be given.

Reebok Ragnar Wasatach Back

Reebok Ragnar Wasatach Back

University Track Club (map)

Run the race that inspired a worldwide running movement

Going into its 15th year, Reebok Ragnar Wasatch Back is beyond legendary to the locals of Northern Utah. It’s the race that inspired the entire Ragnar series, and for good reason! Held during those epic Utah summer days, when the sun almost never sets and the wildflowers smile up at you, this relay is a sight to behold.

Happening on June 1-2, teams of 12 (or 6) runners come together in Logan, UT at the back of the Wasatch Mountain Range to kick off their 200-ish mile adventure. From there, teams run two days and one star-filled night, through friendly communities, up stunning green mountainsides, past world-class ski resorts and into a postcard-worthy countryside dotted with horses and quintessential barns.

No one starts Reebok Ragnar Wasatch Back alone, and no one finishes alone either. After each team member completes their 3 legs (6 legs for ultra), they’ll cross under the orange arch together—tired but triumphant, drained but strengthened— for together they have done what they could never do alone.

Don’t miss the best weekend ever/race that makes running fun/great tradition that will make you say, “I can’t believe we just did that,” and “when can we sign up again,” in the same tired breath.

Run to the Falls: Ragnar's most famous finish line

On June 1-2, get ready to experience the best parts of Ontario by foot, on a course that cuts across a countryside so scenic you will be rubbing your eyes in disbelief and wondering, “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?!”

This overnight running relay kicks off in the quaint town of Cobourg. From there, you and your team of 12 (or 6 ultra-runners) tag-teams it, about 300-ish km, along the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario on the Waterfront Trail, and past unspoiled vineyards, majestic overlooks and a gorgeous sunset that’s nothing short of Instagram worthy. You’ll (continue) running under the Toronto skyline, a gazillion stars and then watch the sun come, again, as you head into day two (still running!) as you head towards the falls. THE FALLS...yes, those falls. The ones they write songs and poems about. Your team will cross the finish line together under the drum of 150,000 gallons of booming water from Niagara Falls and look over at the good ol’ US of A as you wonder what it feels like to get a good night’s sleep.

It’s an amazing thing, and we’re hard at work making sure the course is improved, better than before, on a great date, and smoother than ever, so you can run, drive, sleep (?), repeat your way to a glorious victory dance under the finisher’s arch. Mark your running calendar for June 1-2 and join the adventure that is Reebok Ragnar Niagara!

Reebok Ragnar Pennsylvania

Reebok Ragnar Pennsylvania

Staugger Beach (map)

Reebok Ragnar Pennsylvania begins in the history-rich city of Lancaster, with its preserved architecture and old city charm. Teams will navigate rural roads and gentle rolling hills during this 200-ish mile overnight relay. As you chase the sun, you may start to wonder if you have traveled back in time as you pass horse-drawn buggies and hard working Amish folk tending their fields and creating homemade treasures. Runners will breathe in the clean, crisp country air as they run along a sea of corn and wheat fields in Pennsylvania’s Dutch country and farm communities. As the sun sinks below the horizon, stars will inspire a sense of wonder and help each runner find their inner wild. Runners will push north to the finish line in the Poconos Mountain resort area where the route weaves back and forth over the Schuylkill River and through the quaint town of Jim Thorpe. Don’t miss the chance to round up a team of 12 (or 6), and run across Eastern Pennsylvania’s most beautiful countryside.

Reebok Ragnar Northwest Passage

Peace Arch State Park (map)

Where the forest meets the sea and leaves you breathless

Home of iconic landmarks, friendly locals and breathtaking coastal views, Reebok Ragnar Northwest Passage is the unforgettable running relay you do with a group of friends, happening on July 13-14.

The peaceful Pacific Northwest scenery lives up to its famous reputation on the Ragnar course. The journey begins near the Canadian border in the city of Blaine, WA and passes famous sights including the glacial Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, Deception Pass and the Puget Sound. As a team, you’ll run relay style all day, all night and day again passing vibrant fireweed blossoms, fruit stands, picturesque farms and noble bald eagles soaring above the trees.

Your 200-ish mile relay wraps up, after each team member completes 3 (or 6) legs, in Langley, WA on Whidbey Island where teams celebrate an accomplishment they won’t soon forget.

Mark your calendar for the Northwest’s most sought after Ragnar experience. This race sells out every year, and for good reason. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

NEW CrossFit Division!

Go head-to-head against other CrossFit affiliates in the local area for a chance to win the coveted 80LB Ragnar kettle bell.
