Ditch the elevators and take the stairs!
It’s time to Step Up to the Challenge and participate in the American Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb – a unique stair climbing event at the U.S. Bank Center in downtown Milwaukee. This event – the #1 Climb in the NATION – is set to take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017. 3,400 participants, individuals and teams climb the 47 floors and 1,034 steps to the top, all in an effort to fight lung disease. This year’s event will feature firefighters and first responders climbing in full gear, family/friends teams and corporate organizations, as well as those who partake in the “Ultimate Climb” and climb as many times as they want in an hour. There is a climb for everyone!
All climbers are timed using state-of-the-art chip timing technology to ensure accurate results, but you don’t need to be a star athlete to participate. The average climb time is under 15 minutes (13:29), and we have climbers ages 6-85 participate; all ages and abilities are welcome. All climbers receive a technical t-shirt and a finisher’s medal, plus a 360-degree view of Milwaukee atop the tallest building in Wisconsin!
