Second Annual St. James Triathlon
Sunday, June 23rd, 2013
Bike Helmets are REQUIRED - Head Phones are NOT allowed
This event will take place in beautiful rural St. James, MN on Sunday June, 22nd 2014. This triathlon will be geared toward beginner triathletes, but will also be fun for intermediate and veteran participants as well. The bike and run routes will be of traditional sprint course distances with a shorter swim in the St. James Municipal pool, making it more friendly for beginner athletes.
The course will start out with a 175 meter swim in our pool, then transitioning into a 13 mile bike ride, which will take you around some of the beautiful green fields of rural St. James. This course will have a minimal incline for the first quarter of the ride and then will have a gradual decline back into the transition. Overall, it is a pretty flat and fast course. The run is an out and back 5K that will take place on our local bike trail, which follows the St. James Lake. This course is also fairly flat with some gentle inclines and declines. The finish will take place next to the lake and the St. James campground.
