Walks to raise awareness and funds for bladder cancer will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015. We hope you will celebrate with us by Walking for Bladder Cancer!
Join us as we walk in this national effort to raise awareness of this very common, but rarely talked about, disease. All proceeds to benefit BCAN’s research & patient support programs. For more information, please contact:
Ella Kot at 612-624-1598 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Check here to see if there is a walk already organized near you. The earlier you find a walk location, the easier it will be to get friends, family, and community members involved!
Can’t walk on May 2nd? You can become an honorary walker and still make a huge difference by creating a personal page to raise money for BCAN’s research and education programs. Donations in support of the walk will go to important programs like the BCAN Think Tank and fellowship awards, BCAN’s programs to distribute free educational materials to doctors and patients, and much more. And don’t forget to make a donation in support of the walkers.
This is the fourth year that survivors, caregivers, loved ones and friends from across the country will join BCAN to walk to raise money for bladder cancer research and education, and to increase awareness of this under-recognized and under-funded disease.
Last year, we raised more than $100,000 in donations and sponsorships, and had more than 40 walks in more than 20 states. We’d like to pass on a huge thanks to all of the walk organizers, walkers, donors and supporters who made the 2014 Awareness Day such a huge success! We look forward to even more success in 2015.
